Kindness recognized by mayor
In a special presentation Monday, Cabot Mayor Eddie Joe Williams presented the Cabot Home Depot with a Random Act of Kindness proclamation. ?These guys have been out there for everything. They went out for Katrina, they are working with Habitat for Humanity, they are building a special project for Westside Elementary, they opened the doors and gave us everything we needed in the middle of the night when the tornado hit,? said Williams. Store manager Victor Sundquist, community service coordinator Shawn Basinger and employees Chelsey Swindle, Kimberly Martin and Phil Lee, accept the proclamation from Williams. Sundquist said Home Depot is very involved in disaster response. The company is the government designee for disaster response logistics, but local stores are responsible to support their community, he said.
